Privacy Policy

Account information — When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address from Google's authentication service. This information is used to identify your account and communicate with you about the service.

Monitoring data — When you use Friskylink we collect the URLs you submit for monitoring, your project names and settings, link categories and tags, notes you add to links, monitoring preferences, and link check history including status codes, response times, and redirect chains. This data is the core of what the service does and is required to provide it.

Usage data — We collect information about how you interact with Friskylink including which features you use, actions you take within the application, and session activity. This helps us understand how the product is used and where it can be improved.

Technical data — We automatically collect technical information when you access Friskylink including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and referring URL. This data is used for security monitoring, fraud prevention, and diagnosing technical issues.

Payment data — When you subscribe to a paid plan your payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details. We retain billing records including your plan type, billing cycle, payment status, and transaction history for accounting and support purposes.

Communications — If you contact us for support we retain the content of those communications to resolve your issue and improve our support quality.

Friskylink uses the following third-party service providers to operate. Each provider receives only the data necessary for their specific function and is subject to their own privacy policies and contractual data protection obligations:

Convex (convex.dev) — Database and backend infrastructure. Stores your account data, project data, link data, monitoring history, notifications, and all application state. Data is stored on Convex's cloud infrastructure in the United States.

Vercel (vercel.com) — Frontend hosting and global content delivery. Serves the Friskylink web application and may log request metadata including IP addresses and request headers for security and performance purposes.

Resend (resend.com) — Transactional email delivery. Receives your email address to deliver alert notifications, account emails, and weekly summary reports on our behalf.

Google (google.com) — Authentication. If you choose to sign in with Google, your identity is verified through Google's OAuth service. We receive only your name and email address from this process. We do not receive your Google password or access to any other Google account data.

Payment processor — Subscription billing and payment card processing is handled by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details. Payment data is processed in accordance with PCI DSS standards. Details of our payment provider will be disclosed at the point of purchase.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required by law or as described in this policy.

We retain your account information and monitoring data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Link check history retention varies by plan as described on our pricing page. Free plan accounts retain 7 days of history. Pro accounts retain 90 days. Platinum accounts retain 365 days. Enterprise accounts retain unlimited history.

If you delete your account all personal information and monitoring data associated with your account are permanently deleted within 30 days of your deletion request. Anonymised aggregated data that cannot be linked to any individual may be retained for service improvement and analytics purposes.

Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit using TLS, access controls, and use of infrastructure providers with established security practices.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your data we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your account has been compromised contact us immediately at support@friskylink.com.

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

Depending on your location you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: Access — You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Correction — You have the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information. Deletion — You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. You can delete your account at any time through your account settings which initiates the deletion process described in Section 6. Portability — You have the right to request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Objection — You have the right to object to certain types of processing of your personal data including processing for direct marketing purposes. Restriction — You have the right to request that we restrict our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. Withdrawal of consent — Where we rely on your consent to process personal data you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom and believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable law you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
